HEART * HUNGER * HUMILITY
The tradition of Blackcat Football began at Herculaneum High School in 1946. Our town has changed drastically over the years, but we maintain the connection to our storied past through various alumni events and tracking our school's history. Dugan Memorial Field has been the site of many great games since our innagural season. There is just nothing that compares to Friday nights at HHS - the smoke stack on the horizon, the haze settling over the field from St. Joe Lead (aka Doe Run), and the taste of sulfur in the air, the sound of the band and cheerleaders on the sideline! It's a home game at Herky High! We hope to see you there in 2015!
HEART - The source of life. We play this game with passion and emotion, and execute our plan with speed, intensity, and accuracy.
HUNGER - Hunger drives men to extreme limits. If you want it worse than your opponent, you will out work him to beat him!
HUMILITY - A sign of true strength. We promote the concept of servant-leadership. We are not going to succeed because we are entitled to it, we will succeed because we work hard, and we give of ourselves for the benefit of others.

BE Respectful - In ALL areas of life!
BE On Time - If you're early you're on time, if you're on time, you'e late!
BEhave - It isn't hard to act right! We know the rules, follow them.
BE a Good Student - We are STUDENT-athletes! Academics are the priority.
Remember - If it's important you will find a way. If it isn't, you will find an excuse!
